St. Jude Medical Announces Clinical Study of Deep Brain Stimulation for Depression

The ANS Division of St. Jude Medical, Inc. has received an Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to begin enrollment in a controlled, multi-site, clinical study of deep brain stimulation for major depressive disorder, a severe form of depression.
